Litsa Menounos who is Maria's mother, had been diagnosed with glioblastomamultiforme (GBM) that is a deadly and hard-to-treat type of brain cancer at the end of August in 2016 in the age of at 61. Menounos took on an active part in taking care for her mom as she underwent radiation and chemotherapy. Mariah Carey has been an American actor, singer, producer and record label owner since the late 1980s. Guinness World Records refers to her as "the Songbird Supreme" for her five-octave voice range, melismatic vocal style, as well as her use of the whistle register.
